It would be helpful to be able to filter tasks by Critical Path. Also to have something in the 'get task' API response that indicates if the task is critical path.
Currently, you can highlight critical tasks directly on the Gantt chart. With Float enabled, tasks with Total float = 0 are part of the critical path.
I can see how a filter would make it much easier to work specifically with those tasks. As for the API, I can’t confirm that a critical-path indicator is currently available in the task response, so I’ve noted that part of your request as well!
