How can I identify and manage Critical Path tasks in GanttPRO

I want to quickly understand which tasks in my project can directly affect the final deadline. How can I identify Critical Path tasks in GanttPRO, and is there a way to see how much flexibility non-critical tasks have before they start affecting the schedule?

    Hi Claire! The Critical Path is calculated automatically with tasks that directly affect the project completion highlighted in red. To display it, enable Critical path in the Gantt chart toolbar.

    You can unable Float. This adds Total float and Free float values and shows how much a task can be delayed without affecting either the final project deadline or the next dependent task.

    A useful rule is:

    • Total float = 0 means the task belongs to the Critical Path.
    • A positive Total float shows how much scheduling flexibility the task has. GanttPRO

    This can help you decide which tasks need the most attention and where resources may need to be redistributed if the project starts falling behind schedule.
